Beignets: "the beignet is a square piece of dough, fried and covered with powdered sugar. They are served in orders of three." (J) Tastes exactly how it sounds. The leftovers hardened up when we got back to the hotel. (S) Half of that bag was just pure powdered sugar. We decided to split one beignet hot and fresh, and eat the rest later. It's only good when it's super fresh, otherwise it tastes like a sugary version of Chinese fried dough (the ones you dip in congee).
