Tandoori House

Dinner Buffet: samosas, pakoras, naan, chicken matter, peas and cheese, butter chicken, goat curry, sweet carrot, rice pudding, and so on and so forth. (J) There was actually spice in some of the dishes, unlike other buffets that tone everything down. I liked the sweet carrot dessert. (S) I liked the samosas and the fried fish things. Goat curry was good and the beef with spinach curry were yummy! I liked the rice pudding for dessert.

Yogen Früz

Mix It: small vanilla frozen yogurt mixed with blueberries (left) and small vanilla frozen yogurt mixed with strawberries and peaches (right).

(J) Free thanks to FabFind! Lots of tasty fruit options. Next time I'd like to try lychee green tea. (S) Yay for free frozen yogurt!

Mon Berri

Chocolate: frozen yogurt with Skor bits, almonds and banana.

Taro: frozen yogurt with banana, blueberries and raspberries.

(J) $5 for two small, three topping frozen yogurts thanks to Groupon. The taro tasted good. So many toppings to choose from; I was tempted by Captain Crunch and other breakfast cereals. (S) The chocolate froyo was really good with the Skor bits and the almonds. I really liked the added texture. Bananas are always good! The taro flavour was really nice.

W Burger Bar

Complimentary veggies.

Pure Burger & Yukon Fries (1): beef burger cooked on the grill; topped with mixed greens, tomato, pickles, alfalfa sprouts, and chipotle ketchup on a regular bun.

Pure Burger & Yukon Fries (2): beef burger cooked on the flat top; topped with mixed greens, tomato, ketchup, cranberries and alfalfa sprouts on a whole wheat bun.

(J) $5 for a burger and fries thanks to a WagJag deal. Burgers were big and filling. Fries were fresh and lightly salted. I definitely have to go back and try the bison burger, poutine, onion rings (huge!) and other toppings. (S) You could tell that the meat was fresh and not frozen because it wasn't packed as tightly and the ground meat was falling apart a little bit. This is what I call a thick & juicy burger. Apparently, burgers cooked on the flat top are juicier...agreed, yumm! Definitely will go back to try the lamb burger.
