Brownie: with white chocolate shavings on top. (J) Pretty good value at $1.75 when chocolate bars and candy were about the same price. (S) Yea, nice and dense for the price.

Pasta Buffet (S): I liked the soft rye bread. I really liked that we were able to customize the pasta buffet. I got a bit of everything on twirly pasta and bowtie pasta. Then I went back for some more broccoli, yumm.

Pasta Buffet (J): mushrooms, tomatoes, broccoli, onions, peppers, chicken, garlic, spiral pasta and tomato sauce; marble bread, Caesar salad. This was surprisingly huge. I really liked that it was cooked to order. I had a huge piece of marble bread (rye?) and it was great. I would definitely recommend the pasta buffet here.

BLT: with side salad. (S) The salad and sandwich felt good after all the Korean BBQ we had at lunch. (J) I liked the salad dressing; somewhat sweet. Sandwich was nothing special. Nice diagonal cut presentation.

Fudge Brownie Cheesecake: "New York style cheesecake draped in thick chocolate fudge and mounds of fudge brownies with a cocoa-graham crust." (S) This was so good. I liked brownie + cheesecake...*drools. (J) The top layer fell apart as we attacked this cake. Brownie was good.

Lunch Buffet: (S) BBQing the salmon on top of the beef is a genius idea; this way the fish won't get stuck to the grill. The service was a little slow at this particular location. Our waiter seemed forgetful and didn't understand what radishes were. (J) Beef wrapped salmon was a fun new combination I got to try. I liked the big bowls of radishes and sprouts we ended up getting because we asked for so much.

Burritos: grilled chicken with hot chipotle & roasted tomato salsa (left) and grilled steak with mild Pico De Gallo salsa (right). (S) Pretty good for $5 each. I liked the mild sauce with steak. The fillings were pretty good. (J) The hot salsa wasn't that spicy. I didn't taste the whole wheat wrap, which is good.

30th Birthday Menu

The Butcher Block Burger: served with side house salad with orange poppy seed dressing. (J) We had this before, but it was on sale so we had to get it again! Burger was good like before. I didn't taste orange in the dressing. (S) I liked the bacon bits in the salad. The burger was good again!

Casey’s Famous Back Ribs: full rack basted with Jack Daniel’s Budweiser BBQ sauce. Served with coleslaw and fries. (J) I felt like eating ribs this day, and they were on sale! I guess the BBQ sauce was different, but I was too busy eating to notice. (S) The ribs were pretty good. I liked dipping the fries in that BBQ sauce.

Apple Mary: apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, rolled oats, ice cream and caramel. (J) I was so full when it came time to eat this. The apples warmed up the ice cream, so it was a yummy melting mess to eat. I liked the rolled oats. (S) They kinda gave us the dessert way too early and the ice cream melted before we could really get to it. Owell, still good!

Fiesta Nachos: "melted cheese, piles of diced tomatoes, green onions, sliced olives and jalapeños. It’s a huge serving." Grapefruit juice. (S) The jalapenos were surprisingly not spicy, so I didn't have to eat around them. Grapefruit juice was sour >_< (J) It was huge. I wanted to keep eating.

The Butcher Block Burger: "Casey’s Classic burger with lettuce, tomato, dill pickle and red onion on a toasted bun." Sweet potato fries. (S) Sweet potato fries are so good. The burger was decent too. (J) Pretty good.

Montreal Style Poutine: (J) Not on their menu, but a special on the chalkboard. I'd like to know where in Montreal they serve poutine with potato slices and no cheese curds. Potatoes were peppery and still a bit hard. (S) So true...I was disappointed with the lack of cheese curds.

Greek Salad: with house dressing. (J) Standard salad. (S) Yup, standard greek salad that took a while to get to us...

The Classic: stuffed Chicago style house combination pizza; house made Italian sausage, green peppers, onions and mushrooms. (J) I liked the real tomato chunks on top, and the crust part with cheese inside. (S) I liked that the sauce and other ingredients were separated by crust.

Green Tea Latte: (S) I've never had a latte before. It tasted good. I like foam. (J) First time for me too. Very foamy, but could still taste the green tea underneath.

Sonoma Chicken Salad: (S) This salad was pretty good. I liked the grapes with the greens. We're so healthy (minus the cake) :P (J) Grapes went well with the salad. Chicken was moist. I really liked the candied nuts.

Oreo Cake: free birthday cake! (S) Yay for freebies! Such yumminess! (J) The cake didn't have a sign, so I was surprised it was a cheesecake.

Salad & Green Tea: (S) The waitresses were very good with filling our tea, they came around maybe 5 times within an hour. (J) I hardly drank any tea and they refilled my cup! Tea was nice and strong.

Teri Don: teriyaki chicken on rice, served with miso soup. (S) I really liked that the teriyaki sauce wasn't super sweet or salty like other places, it wasn't overpowering. The chicken was tender. Wasn't sure what those stick veggies were on top, maybe ginseng? (J) The bitter vegetables were interesting. Not as much sauce as I was expecting, but this was after eating eel.

Chio Chin Bento: fried chicken, sashimi, and eel on rice. (S) This was awesome, 3 in 1! (J) I loved this stackable bento box! So much variety, and everything tasted so good. Nice saucy eel with sliced egg; crispy and juicy chicken; soft sashimi. I'd order this all the time if I could.

Chocolate Sake Cake: (S) I know we got this last time as well, but I wanted to get something that we wouldn't be able to get elsewhere. It was good. (J) Yummy.

Green tea mousse cake: (S) Very light and airy, I could eat an entire cake! (J) You could really taste the green tea. I liked how it had red beans too. Awesome (pre) birthday lunch!

Side Dishes: potatoes, pickled radish, bean spouts, kimchi, tofu, and bonus free dumplings. (S) Yay for freebies! I liked the tofu and dumplings a lot! (J) Mmm pried dumplings. The potatoes were too peppery for me.

Miso soup

Beef Bibimbap: (S) This is my go-to Korean dish. I know it's never spicy, and it tastes good. I let the crackle die down before mixing it up, that's when you get the crispy rice. Yumm.

Vegetables Bibimbap (J) I felt like I needed to eat vegetables, and this hit the spot.

Curry Buffet Lunch (S) There wasn't much to choose from, but can't complain since it was a free lunch. I really liked the lamb curry and the samosa, J's dad commented that the naan was like pizza...mmm, garlicky pizza. The tandoori chicken was hard, could hurt someone with it. I thought the pecan tart was the better dessert. That jell-o thing had too much cream, wasn't a big fan. (J) The food was alright, nothing too spicy. I finally ate okra. Pecan tart was really good. The trifle really filled me up.
