Goat roti: (S) Last time we had boneless goat, but this time the bones were huge. Boo. Coleslaw was good as always. There wasn't as much sauce on top as last time. (J) Yeah lots of bones and fat. Kinda dry without the sauce on top. It was better the last time we had it.

Jerk chicken sandwich: with coleslaw and sweet potato fries. (S) Jerk Chicken was spiiiicy. The sweet potato fries were good though, yumm! (J) I really liked the sandwich. I'd buy it to eat on the go. Fries were thick and tasty.

Papadum and pickled onion: complimentary amuse bouche. (J) I'm not a fan of these salty crackers in general. (S) Was alright, I was hungry.

Veg pakora, chicken tikka rosemary, mint lamb seekh kebab: appetizer and tandoori platter. Served with mango chutney and raita. (J) Mixing both of the sauces together tasted good. (S) I like those brown things between the sauces.

Spinach malai lamb with pulao rice and chana: entrée. (J) I didn't taste the spinach itself, but the overall flavour was good. (S) Something in this picture made my stomach burn...

Korma lamb and naan: entrée. (J) Lamb was tender and korma sauce was good as usual. (S) Naan is always so good, as is Korma and tender lamb.

Mango lassi: complimentary dessert. (J) Mango flavour with some spices. Good way to end a 50% off deal. (S) Sweet!

Wincent & Robert's (Vincent & Margaret's)
Wedding Reception

Wedding Dinner: crispy pork, shrimp crab claw, shrimp & scallops, shark fin soup, mushroom & abalone, lobster, chicken & chips, fish, noodles & rice, red bean soup, jello & cake and cupcakes.

(J) My favourites were the shrimp crab claw and crispy pork. I liked the cupcakes too. Cupcake wedding cakes rock. (S) I think I heard this at our kids table some point in the night, "...most flamboyant Chinese reception ever...", which sums it up pretty well. The seafood made me itchy, but I liked it anyways. I really enjoyed the veggie dish. The cupcakes were cute and yummy too!

Tofu Borracho: tofu sauteed in green tomatillo & tequila salsa with nopales & pico de gallo. Served with salad, rice and refried beans. (J) Felt like eating vegetarian. Nice firm tofu in a tangy sauce.

Dinner Buffet: sushi pizza, mango roll, beef sashimi, deep fried durian, hiroshima pancake, beef udon soup, sake mussels, red bean ice cream and mango mousse. (J) Some of the items we ate. I enjoyed the quality of the cooked foods and desserts. Deep fried banana went well with red bean ice cream. (S) I liked the mango and avocado and the pancake. I had so many red bean ice creams. We thought the durian tasted like banana, but after eating the fried banana, we realized that the durian tasted nothing like the banana.

Signature Lamb Burger (left): fresh Ontario Lamb, cilantro-feta spread, lettuce and tomato. (S) *eww, I ate cilantro. They hid it well. Sauce had an interesting taste, not bad. (J) This tasted good. I like how they toasted the bun well.

Classic Burger Combo (right): iceberg lettuce, red onion, tomato, sliced pickles, ketchup, dijon mustard & mayonnaise with onion rings and Diet Coke. (S) The burger was good, but they need to learn to follow instructions, I asked for no onions and mayo, but they included everything. Other than that, I enjoyed it. (J) Good juicy and charred burger, but only 5 onion rings? However, they were light and crispy, with thick pieces of onion.

Traditional Poutine: hand-cut and custom seasoned fries + signature rich gravy + Eastern Township cheese curds. Regular size with pop. (J) They now have a Small size. I'd like to see a heart-clogging Large size next. Fries were crispy and had nice big chunks of cheese. (S) All I can say is that I had trouble walking stairs after this, but it was all worth it.

J's Cookie: Original dough with dark chocolate and Snickers. (J) It was a little burnt on one side. The dough wasn't sweet, so the two sweet selections worked well.

S's Cookie: Oatmeal dough with pistachios and M&Ms. (S) Tasted funny, might have been the pistachios. (J) This tasted healthy.

Cinqo De Mayo!

Complimentary Nachos with Salsa dip: (S) Good stuff! Good thing we didn't order another order of nachos! (J) We polished off this dish.

Sopes: Two hand made tortillas with a layer of refried beans, topped with chicken. Served with rice, refried beans and salad (house special). (S) I forget which topping you had (haha). But it was good nonetheless! (J) I had the chicken (edited). The sopes were filling.

Quesadilla Tinga: Two hand made corn tortillas stuffed with chicken in a tinga sauce with onions, deep fried & topped with salsa verde, lettuce & sour cream. Served with rice, refried beans and salad (house special). (S) Everything was so yummy! I especially liked the salad dressing. The quesadillas were good, a little tingly, but still awesome! Beans were gassy goodness :P (J) The house specials were really good and satisfying. Loved the decor too.

Sashimi on rice: salmon sashimi. (J) It's like chirashi don but with vegetables, so it feels healthier. (S) I liked this, it felt refreshing after eating the bibimbap.

Stone pot bibimbap: beef and veggies. (S) This was pretty darn good. I liked the purple rice, it was interesting.

Chana roti: (J) I like chick peas. Had a pleasant spice, but a little salty. (S) I kept spilling the chana, sheesh!

Doubles and goat roti: (S) The goat wasn't as tender as other places that I've tried, and it wasn't as saucy. I kept spilling the chana in the doubles too!
