Matcha Green Tea Smoothie: "Japanese Matcha green tea blended with all-natural blueberry, raspberry, blackberry and strawberry purées, a splash of Ocean Spray cranberry juice and non-fat yogurt. Topped with fresh blueberries." (S) Tasted like Matcha + berries. I liked it, very impressed how the berries and matcha flavours complemented each other. (J) Great ingredients and flavours, but it was mostly ice.

The Amazing Vegetarian Burger: "Prepared with carrots, green zucchini, roasted garlic and a splash of balsamic vinegar with lettuce, tomato, dill pickle, and red onion." Served with sweet potato fries. (S) We're so healthy :P I forgot that it was a veggie patty and sweet potato fries are always amazing. (J) The fries were so good; crisp and delicate.

Cobb Salad: "Crisp iceberg lettuce topped with grilled seasoned chicken breast, green onions, tomatoes, Cheddar cheese, cucumbers, egg, bacon bits [and] ranch dressing on the side." (S) This was huuuge, I really liked that they separated all the ingredients for some reason. It came with an AMC movie ticket. (J) It was cold and seemed to last forever. Interesting presentation.

Dinner for 2 for $29.98

Lobster Bisque: (S) The soup was on the bland side. I enjoyed the clam chowder a lot more. (J) Had a fishy taste.

Clam Chowder: (S) Better than the lobster bisque. (J) Creamy. It was better than the lobster bisque.

Spring Lamb: (S) The lamb was actually very good. It was soft and moist, too bad there wasn't much of it. (J) Lamb was moist and tasty.

Salmon Lobster Florentine: (S) The salmon was pretty good, and we got 1 lobster claw, hehe. Sauce was fatty cream goodness. (J) Salmon was very good.

Dessert: custard with syrup at the bottom; served with tea (not shown). (S) Interesting dessert. I thought it was Crême Brulée and was excited, but it wasn't. Not bad though, I liked that you had to mix in the sweet from the bottom with the custard. (J) Tasted like maple syrup at the bottom. Caramelized sugar on the top would have been better.

La Taquizza

Totopos: (nachos) with guacamole. (S) I liked that there was a salsa bar with mild to spicy salsas to choose from. The guacamole was so good. (J) Creamy guacamole. Good portion size.

Huaraches: with mushrooms. (S) This is a seemingly simple dish, but it wasn't bad! I liked the mushrooms...it was kinda like an open softshell taco. (J) I liked the corn taste. Surprisingly filling.

Burrito: with barbacoa (lamb); large size, served with peppers and onions. (S) Omg, the lamb was so good. I liked the burrito a lot! (J) You could taste the lamb. One of these would fill you up for a long time.

Pastel de Tres Leches: (S) I really liked this dessert, it was really wet but the flavours worked well together. I liked that the cream on top wasn't so sweet since the sauce was already sweet. (J) So light and moist. Very tasty. A light milky taste.

Appetizers: Tofu with Onion (left) and Beef with Flavour (right). (J) There were three of us, so we ordered a whole bunch of stuff to share. Tofu was good like before. Our first time trying beef with flavour, and it tasted just like beef. There was lots of it. (S) The tofu is good, a bit spicy...beef is meh, way too much of it.

Mains: fried beef (?) dumplings (left), steamed seafood and steamed pork (?) dumplings (middle x2), and noodles with meat slices (right).

(J) Deep frying dumplings really locks in the juice, so that when someone bites into them, they squirt across the table! They were good, but heavy on the stomach. I still prefer steamed dumplings. Noodles seemed homemade and firm. The broth was clean. (S) I liked the fried dumplings...I kinda wanted to eat more of it haha. I like the solidness of the steamers, but the pried were crispier and super juicy!

Pancakes: banana pancakes with a side of bacon. (J) Real banana slices. (S) The waitress was right...the pancakes can stand alone without syrup...so moist and tasty.

Kiddie Cupcake: from Pauline's. (J) Not as sweet as I thought it would be. The race car was chocolate too. (S) Yea, not as sweet, which is good! The lady said this one was made from scratch whereas the Open Window chocolate cupcakes weren't.

Pecan Tart: from Open Window. (J) Really good. I liked the chewiness. (S) I could so make this in my toaster oven! *drools

Salad & Miso Soup

Tempura Vegetables: (J) We got all veggies. (S) I like batter-fried veggies!

Love Boat: (J) It was my first time eating uni. The texture was very creamy, and it had a subtle, watery taste. It looked like the unagi were trying to jump ship. (S) Uni has that poop taste that all shelled seafood has; I liked it. The sashimi was fresh and had that melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Complimentary Roll: (J) I like free stuff! I think it was a spicy dynamite roll. (S) Yay for Free! It was a little spicy, but I ate it anyways.

Green Tea Ice Cream: (J) The bowls and scoops of ice cream were tiny and cute. (S) Very refreshing.

Chargrilled Hamburger: (J) Patty was overcooked and kinda hard, or maybe it was the Kaiser bun that was hard. (S) I didn't mind it, just add ketchup!

Rotisserie 1/4 Chicken & 1/3 Rack BBQ Ribs: with multigrain roll and fries "poutine-ized". (J) Ribs were the star of this plate; fall off the bone and tasty sauce. S was influenced by the poutine ad on the table. (S) I was bad, but the poutine was good! Yea, chicken was pretty good, but the ribs were fall-off-the-bone awesome!

Pecan Pie: (J) Good like last time. Sweet and chewy. (S) I want to make this at home...*drools

Salads & Cheddar Bay Biscuits®: Garden and Caesar salads. (J) Biscuits were good to distract our hungry bellies. (S) The biscuits were so warm and soft...yumm.

Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms: (J) Very cheesy. (S) I liked the cheese-covered, juicy mushrooms.

Peach-Bourbon BBQ Chicken and Shrimp: with broccoli and mashed potatoes. (J) The chicken was really good; plump and moist. The sauces were really tasty. (S) I especially liked the peach in the sauce, it made everything taste so good. The sauce made the shrimp very tasty.

Wood-Grilled Fresh Salmon: with broccoli and fries. (J) Nothing spectacular. (S) Tasted healthy...minus the fries.
